Islamabad Zoo beforehand Marghazar Zoo, is a 82-section of land (33 ha) zoo in Islamabad Capital Territory. It was opened in 1978, and is under the organization of Capital Development Authority of Pakistan.
he zoo began in 1978 as an asylum for panthers, spotted deer, and Indian gazelle found in the district. It soon picked up prominence and turned into a part of the Japanese patio nursery. An aviary was later built. The Capital Development Authority concocted an arrangement in August 2008 to update and expand the zoo as a recreational range and natural life asylum. The assessed expense of the venture is 1407.8 million Pakistani rupees.
