Broghil Valley National Park is located near the Afghan-Pakistan border in the upper northern portions of the Chitral District, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Pakistan.
An historic caravan route through Broghil’s lake- and peak- dotted landscape crosses a gentle lake- crowned pass, traversing from the Hindu Raj Range to the Karakoram.
I traversed this route back in 2017 solo on my bike, this journey helped me self reflect cause the long dirt road won’t end even if you drive from early morning to evening, mostly it helped me how to be thankful, for living in the stone homes with the locals there and miraculously getting saved from falling into ditches a couple of times I realized how these remote places are just a temporary heaven for us traveler, but the people living there in very harsh conditions don’t even have necessities of life, they would switch places with us if they could I think.
